The first day of winter 2011 is December 22 but that has not stopped temperatures from dropping. With the change in temperatures it is time to bring a change to your outerwear for the season. The Chet Pouciau Design Family went out to lunch at Commander's Palace this afternoon. We are all filled to the brim now!

Light Bulb Christmas Tree and Wreath

Thank you to those of you who have been emailing me about the show today. I wanted to post the instructions on how to make the light bulb Christmas trees and wreath that you saw on the show today. The method of making the trees and wreath are the same, we just used different kinds of light bulbs.

What you will need:

• Cardboard
• Old light bulbs
• Glue that can be used with glass
• Old ribbon

1. Cut out a cardboard circle template.

 2. Lay out the light bulbs in a circle using the template as a guide for accuracy.

3. Drip glue where light bulbs meet. I used more glue on the bottom tiers to make sure the tree and wreath were stable.

4. Keep building new layers, using less light bulbs each time.

Voila!

Origami Christmas Ornaments

Click on the link to get the instructions on how to make these cute flower balls. After you learn to make the individual flowers, tape them all together to make a ball. Don't forget to tape in a ribbon to hang them from!
